It started with a cupcake

In 2007, Jessi Walter Brelsford left Wall Street to host a cupcake birthday party in a SoHo loft — and never looked back. Seventeen years later, that one flour-dusted afternoon has grown into 26 scratch-made kitchens coast to coast.

A cupcake and a big dream

Jessi traded spreadsheets for a mixing bowl and hosted her first birthday party at a SoHo loft. The kids were covered in frosting, the parents were laughing — and that room told her everything she needed to know.

The scratch-made philosophy

From day one, everything at Taste Buds Kitchen has been made from scratch — hand-rolled pasta, fresh sushi, homemade ravioli, and yes, still the cupcakes that started it all. The whole experience is built around three words that say it simply: Learn. Laugh. Cook.

From one loft to 26 kitchens

What began in Manhattan has grown into a coast-to-coast community of independently owned kitchens, each run by local families who bring the same scratch-made ethos to their neighborhoods.

Giving more than recipes

Taste Buds Kitchen has raised over $65,000 for Cookies for Kids' Cancer — because a brand built on bringing people together naturally extends that generosity beyond its walls.
